The story behind Lumahflow

I wasn't looking for another login.
I was drowning in the work.

No deck. No roadmap theater. Just a roaster in Atlanta who needed software that didn't price him out before the first roast shipped.

The problem

Before Lumahflow existed, wholesale meant the same thing it means for a lot of us: spreadsheets, late-night invoices, texts that start with "Hey, can you send…" and never end. Archetype Kulture is my wholesale specialty coffee company — based in Atlanta — and my name is on the bag. Roasting, packaging, delivering, chasing money, watching accounts, running production. The whole thing.

When I started looking for tools, I found price tags that assumed you already had room for them — $159 a month here, $200 there, some options pushing toward $2K a year. Built for someone else's scale. Not for the roaster still building the margin to breathe.

"I couldn't afford what was on the market. So I built what the work actually demanded."

The builder

I've also been an independent musician and artist for 23+ years. Indie isn't an aesthetic — it's a contract with yourself: you own the masters, you book the work, you live with the gaps. You learn what it feels like when the system isn't built for you.

That same underdog shape is what wholesale felt like. The tools weren't for the person doing everything themselves — they were for the operation that already had a team to absorb the overhead. I built Lumahflow in the space between "spreadsheet chaos" and "software I can't justify yet."

Roast Mode for production days. Reorder Intelligence so accounts don't slip away quietly. Invoicing that actually gets paid. A cafe portal so my wholesale clients aren't in my texts at dawn. Then LumahTrace, the wholesale calculator, CafeFlo — because the work kept asking for more, and I was still in the building.

I tested all of it on Archetype Kulture first. Real bugs. Real gaps. When I say roaster-built, I mean I was on the roaster floor while I wrote it.

The mission

"Everybody Wins Because Nobody Wins Alone." That line isn't copy — it's the math I wish more of this industry ran on. The roaster doesn't win if the cafe goes under. The cafe doesn't thrive if the roaster can't ship on time. Lumahflow is my bet that we can align the whole chain without gatekeeping the tools behind a price only the biggest players can swallow.

The Bounty Loop — where roasters earn when their cafes grow — is the same idea in a different form: bring your people up, and the platform doesn't punish you for it.

If you're the roaster still carrying it all yourself, I built this for you. If you're the cafe tied to a roaster who cares like that, I built it for you too.

The belief that runs through everything

"Everybody Wins
Because Nobody Wins Alone."

By the time you read it here, you've seen what it costs to go it alone — and what changes when the tools finally belong to the people doing the work. That's what makes this line true instead of printed on a mug.
